Choosing a venue doesn't have to be a taxing process. With a good list of questions handy, you can easily determine which venue is right for your Big Day. (Allyson VinZant Events)

Following is a list of questions you should ask a potential venue site:

  1. Do you have my date available? How many other weddings are you hosting that day?

  2. Can I hold my rehearsal the night before the wedding? Is there an additional charge?

  3. How many people can the space hold? Is that standing or seated?

  4. What does the fee include (all inclusive? Tables? Linens?) Can I see a sample of items you provide?

  5. What is excluded from the fee?

  6. How many hours are included in the fee?

  7. How much are additional hours?

  8. How many parking spots are available for guests?

  9. Can I use any vendor(s) or do you have a preferred list?

  10. Do you provide set up and tear down?

  11. Can the ceremony and reception be held in the same place?

  12. When can I begin set up on my wedding day?

  13. When can vendors arrive to set up?

  14. Are there any decoration limitations?

  15. If we have outdoor plans, do you have a backup in case of inclement weather?

  16. Can I bring my own alcohol? Are you licensed to provide alcohol?

  17. Are candles permitted?

  18. Does the venue own sound equipment?

  19. Are there any restrictions on the use of the space?
